Chocolate pot de creme for all the chocolate lovers
Good day everyone,
Today we are showing an amazing recipe that is light and super tasty without butter... doesn't happen to often in pastry :-) And it's also Gluten Free!
Pot de creme are a little dessert that you can bake in any type of jam jars or glasses if you want. You can use a wide variety of flavors for it. I love Vanilla so we did vanilla of course also because i have access to fresh ones... lucky me :-)
Here is a small list of what the flavors you can do using this base recipe : Pumpkin spice, Coffee, Matcha, Chai tea.... Email me and I'll let you know how to use them.
For that one, we did chocolate for the girls so here it is, very simple :
- 6 Egg Yolks
- 80gr (or 1/3 cup) Sugar
- 600gr (or 2 1/2 cup) Milk
- 120gr 9or 3/4 cup) Semi-sweet Chocolate
- 40gr (or 1/4 cup) Cacao Powder
Super quick and super easy to make, the difficulty (if there is one) is the baking :-) it needs to bake in a water bath for 40 minutes...
First, bring to a boil your milk, once boiling, turn it off and add your chocolate, let it melt.
In a bowl, mix together your egg yolks and your sugar for a couple of minutes.
Then add your cacao powder and mix well. Once everything combine, mix the milk and the egg together. Let it sit for 5 minutes so that the bubbles disappear and fill in your glass or your jars.
Bake in a bain marie with water for 40 minutes at 180ºC or 350ºF
